Close, and properly equipped
Oxted is only a few junctions east of us on the M25, so it is a quick trip. What you get at the other end is a proper unit: full height scissor ramp, controlled lighting, secure and fully insured premises, and a free courtesy car while the work is done.
We are a detailing studio, not a valeting service. The work starts with a full decontamination, wheels off, before any machine polishing begins.
Country lanes are hard on paint
The lanes around Limpsfield, Tandridge, Godstone and out towards Westerham throw up a lot of grit, and hedgerows leave fine scratching down the sides of cars that use them daily. Add motorway miles on the M25 and the front end takes a beating.
A multi stage machine polish removes the accumulated scratching. Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light then protects it, and XPEL paint protection film on the bonnet, wings and mirrors stops the chips that polishing cannot fix.

The Ceramic Coating Detail from £900 plus VAT is the one to choose if you intend to keep the car, and includes coated wheels, calipers, suspension parts and arch liners, which makes future cleaning far quicker.

What is the difference between car detailing and a car wash?
A car wash cleans the surface. Detailing corrects and protects it. SMC Detailing decontaminates the paint, machine polishes out swirls and scratches, then seals the finish with a ceramic coating or paint protection film. The work is carried out in a lit, secure unit in Salfords, Surrey, not on a forecourt.

A ceramic coating adds gloss and chemical resistance but will not prevent impact damage, so many customers combine the two.
